Just one week separates United States citizens with a disability benefit from the new Social Security check. Well, it is true that this is not true for all Americans, but it is true for a particular group of Americans. In order to determine whether we will get this payment we simply have to check the conditions for getting it.
The Social Security Administration pays the different checks for the Disability benefit on four days of the month. Regardless of which group you belong to, you will always get your check, but whether you get it sooner or later depends on whether you belong to one group or another. These types of retirement payments are really important to many Americans, so timing the day of the payment is vital to them.
And in the next week thousands of United States citizens will have a payment of up to $3,822 from the Disability benefit. Getting this payment will depend, as we have already discussed, on whether or not we belong to the group of Americans who fall within the mandatory characteristics. Just checking a little information will be enough to determine whether or not we have access to the check.
Who can get the next January Disability payment?
The next check sent by the Social Security Administration to United States Disability beneficiaries will be on January 17th. This benefit is for the third group of retirees. Therefore, in order to receive the payment, we must belong to this group, which has very specific characteristics.
In order to get the payment, therefore, we have to:
- Have a birthday between the 11th and 20th day of the month.
- Have a benefit after 1997.
Only in this way will we be able to access the Social Security benefit on January 17th. Even so, it is also true that it is not necessary to have a disability benefit, but any other type of benefit can arrive on this day. What is important is both the date of birth and the year of retirement.
Another Social Security payment in January
Although some may think so, this payment will not be the last that the Social Security Administration will make in the month of January. After the payment on the 17th day, the Administration will send another payment on the 24th day of January. And this payment will be the last one this month. So by then all retirees will have cashed their check.
And on this last day the type of retirement does not matter either, but the year of retirement and the day of birth are important. On the one hand, the year of retirement requirement is the same as the previous day. So it is mandatory to have a Social Security check for disability or other reason since after 1997.
On the other hand, another indispensable requirement is to have the birthday in the last days of the month. That is to say, it is necessary to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month. Retirees who do not have these characteristics will not be able to collect the payment on January 24th, but will have gotten the money on one of the previous Social Security payment days.
