Disability payments of up to $3,822 from Social Security in the United States are about to arrive for thousands of Americans. Getting one of these payments is possible by meeting just two requirements. If we meet these requirements, we can get a check in that amount. If we do not meet them, it does not mean that we will not get the payment, but it does mean that we will get it later.
This can be an advantage in many ways. Knowing the day that the Social Security Administration sends out the checks for the Disability payment is certainly something very advantageous that Americans can use to organize their household finances in the best possible way. However, retirees in other categories can also get a check if they meet these requirements.
Therefore, it is safe to say that having a Social Security disability is not one of the requirements to collect today’s payment on January 10th, 2024. However, it is true that SSDI beneficiaries would be able to get the benefit if they meet the requirements. Not all retirees in this category get a check today and not all checks are for retirees in this category.
Any other beneficiary who does not have an SSDI benefit will be able to get today’s check. Just pay attention to the requirements and check to make sure you meet all of them. If not, check to see what day in the next few weeks you may be able to collect this benefit.
Eligibility for Disability Benefit today
There are three mandatory requirements to get the Disability Benefit today. Without these requirements it will be impossible to cash this check today, as we would have to wait at least a few days to get the benefit.

So these are the three mandatory requirements:
- Activate Direct Deposit. This collection method is essential to receive the retirement money on the same day we get the check. If we activate it, we will have many advantages, since we will never have to wait to receive the benefit.
- Having your birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month. And it does not matter if our birthday is in January or not. The important thing is that the day of birth is between the 1st and the 10th of any month.
- Have a Social Security Disability check after 1997. This is also important. Beneficiaries prior to this year are paid on one day of the month. Later retirees are paid on three different days and January 10th is one of them.
By meeting these three requirements, we will be able to get the January 10th Disability benefit on January 10th itself, i.e., today. So we won’t have to wait a second to have the maximum check of $3,822 per month available. Still, even other checks, regardless of the amount, will also reach their recipients today.
Remember to activate Direct Deposit to cash any check on any day of the month automatically. If we don’t, it could take up to three days for the money to arrive. It all depends on our bank in that case.
