Supplemental Security Income is a check that comes every month to United States citizens with this accepted benefit. So if you have the SSI payment Social Security will send it to you each month so that you can enjoy the payment of up to $914. This payment has that amount as a maximum, but that does not make almost $1.00 a month for all recipients of this benefit.
The great thing about the Social Security payment schedule is that we can know in advance when we will receive both Supplemental Security Income and any of the other benefits. It is a great advantage to know in advance at what time of the month we will be able to receive our livelihood check. Add to that the faster collection method, and the information is even more useful.
But also keep in mind that not all Social Security beneficiaries receive their checks on the same day. Each group receives their benefit on a different day. Similarly, Supplemental Security Income does not arrive on the exact same day for all beneficiaries. This benefit can arrive on the same day, yes, but it can also take several days to arrive. And in September it could arrive later than ever.
WHO WILL RECEIVE THE SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME ON THE 1ST OF SEPTEMBER?
In order to get the check on the 1st of September it is mandatory to activate Direct Deposit. The Administration will send the Supplemental Security Income to all SSI recipients on the same day. Whether or not you receive it immediately will depend on the method of payment chosen.
Please note that September 1st will be a Friday. So the payment could arrive late because right after that there is a weekend. And usually banks take longer to have the money available when there is a weekend in between.
So only Direct Deposit beneficiaries will be able to enjoy the Supplemental Security Income on the same day it is sent. The rest will have to wait up to 3 days, possibly longer due to the weekend, to enjoy the maximum payment of $914.
WHEN DOES THE SECOND SSI CHECK ARRIVE IN SEPTEMBER?
Within the month of September we find ourselves with two different Supplemental Security Income checks. This is an advantage because retirees can get an early start on the next month’s money. So if you have an SSI benefit you can enjoy up to $1,828 between the 30 days of the month.
As with the September payment, to receive the check in advance as soon as possible, we must activate Direct Deposit. This will allow us to receive the money on the 29th day of September.
Don’t forget that this money is an advance of the October Supplemental Security Income. So after we receive this check, we will not be able to receive another SSI payment during that month.
