Following the United States Social Security payment schedule we can guess who will collect the new and last check in August. After this payment, the pensioner’s pension will arrive again in September, but not for all Americans. Whether or not you receive your payment on certain days depends on several factors.
Among these factors are both the day of birth and the year of retirement. Generally speaking, these are the only two pieces of information we need to be able to determine on which day we will receive Social Security each month. Even so, it is not mandatory to remember when we will receive our pensioner’s pension each month because we can consult the calendar.
Social Security check payments arrive on up to 4 different days. Therefore, we can say that there are four different groups of retirees. But within these four groups we actually have two large groups. On the one hand, we have a group that gets paid in just one day. On the other hand, we have a second group that receives the Social Security benefit on one of the other three days. Which group do you belong to?

REQUIREMENTS FOR COLLECTING THE NEXT SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFIT
As we were just discussing, there are two major groups of retirees. The first of these groups is the group of beneficiaries with Social Security since before 1997. This group has the advantage of always collecting on the same day. All retirees prior to that year can receive the day on the 3rd day of each month, with some exceptions.
Therefore, the next of the payments is not for pre-1997 retirees, but the opposite. But it should be noted that post-1997 retirees are, in turn, divided into three distinct groups. Each of these groups collects the benefit on a different day.
This is the division of post-1997 retirees for collecting Social Security checks:
- Born between the 1st and 10th of the month: 2nd Wednesday of the month.
- Born between the 11th and 20th of the month: 3rd Wednesday of the month.
- Born between the 21st and 31st of the month: 4th Wednesday of the month.
This time we are talking about the 4th Wednesday of the month. This means that only beneficiaries who have a benefit since after 1997 and have their birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month can receive the next check. The payment day will be on the 23rd of August, which is the 4th Wednesday of the month.
If you do not meet these requirements your new Social Security payment will arrive in September. In this month’s calendar we will have payments on the 1st, 14th, 20th and 27th. Depending on the characteristics already mentioned, each retiree will receive the money on one day or another.
