United States citizens have until February 15th to claim stimulus cheques of up to $800

Social Security – New SSI 2023 payment of $914 in just 24 hours

67-year-old retirees will receive their first Social Security paychecks in February 2023

One of the great advantages of living in the United States is the Social Security pension system. Thanks to this way of organizing benefits for retirees, any American citizen who has worked long enough during his or her lifetime can have a well-deserved rest. While it is true that there are certain conditions that retirees must meet before deciding on a retirement age, the goal is relatively easy. One of the most important things when we are workers is the salary, since it directly influences the monthly Social Security check. In addition to this, we also have to keep in mind that the schedule of SSA payments is always the same. Therefore, we can know well in advance when we will receive the benefit.

In the month of October the Social Security Administration sends out 3 separate payments. These three payments are only for retirees with an accepted benefit. As a usual rule, it is common for the SSA to send out four payments, one of which is the Supplemental Security Income. This payment, SSI, is only for a number of lower income Social Security beneficiaries. The reason there is no SSI payment in October is because this money was sent on the last day of September, since October 1 was a weekend. Besides that, retirement benefit payments are made without problems, since the SSA sends them on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month.

Today is the last day of Social Security payments in October. This means that as of today all United States retirees must have their benefit in their bank account. This is regardless of whether the benefit is retirement or disability. The only thing that matters here is the date of birth. Today, October 26th, pensioners born between October 21st and October 31st will have their subsidy amount in their pocket. The rest of the pensioners should have received the payment on the second or third Wednesday of the month.

What if my Social Security is late?

As we have previously discussed, today is the last day of Social Security payments in October. Therefore, all retirees should have their subsidy in their pocket this week. Otherwise, it is very likely that you will have a problem with your bank account or with the Social Security Administration. To avoid problems of this kind, check that your details in My Social Security are correct.

Apart from this, you can also contact your bank to ask if they have withheld the payment. If your bank does not help you, contact a Social Security office to solve your problem as soon as possible.
