In the United States, the days when the Social Security Administration sends out payments are always cause for celebration. Many retirees only have this money as income, so they wait patiently for the next month’s payment. Although it is not a good idea to rely on Social Security alone, there are many retired or disabled people who have no other choice. That’s why payday is so eagerly awaited by many people.
The Social Security Administration always sends out three different payments on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month. This time in December 2022 we have payments on the 14th, 21st and 28. Each of these days the SSA will send the money to a different group of people. The only difference between collecting your benefit or not is the date of birth. At the end of the month, you will receive your pension, but it can be earlier or later.

Other SSA payments in December
Each month there are two payments on the SSA calendar. The first payment is the retirement or disability benefit itself. That benefit is paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month, as we noted a little above. On the other hand, there is also the Supplemental Social Security, a special payment for all those who have a low income.
The Social Security Administration always sends out the SSI payment on the 1st of each month, except on days when the 1st is a weekend or holiday. In December, this payment will be double, since January 1 is a holiday and will be moved to December 30.
