The January payment schedule for United States Disability beneficiaries is now over. Still, there are some Americans who still don’t have the money in their pockets. This is because if they belong to a particular group of Americans, the payment does not arrive until a little later. There are several reasons for this. To belong to this group we have to fulfill some conditions.
However, it does not have to be negative if you have not yet gotten a Social Security disability check. Depending on each family’s financial arrangements, the payment will come sooner or later, but it may be desirable if it does. If a retiree has planned to have the payment by the end of the month it is all right to get it by then.
Be that as it may, the important thing is to know the requirements to collect the payment in the next few days. This will be the last payment of the month, since after that there will be no more payments available in January. After this January payment the next check will be in February. In fact, in the first week of February we could get 2 different checks from Social Security. But if we get the payment on the last day of January we cannot get the two in the first week of February.
Who will get the January Disability payment next?
The last of the retirement payments, whether for disability or other reasons, was sent on the 24th day of January. After this payment there is no other payment this month, but yes that same payment may arrive a little later. The reason for this is the method of payment chosen by the beneficiary. Therefore, with a fast collection method we already have the payment. But if we have not chosen this collection method, the money will arrive soon.
Even so, it is also true that we have to belong to group 4 of retirees. This group is made up of Social Security beneficiaries with a check after 1997 and a birthday between the 21st and 31st. This is the only way we will be part of this group, which is the one that receives the benefit on the last day of the month.
It is also necessary not to have Direct Deposit activated if you want the payment to arrive in the days following the remittance. The exact day will depend on our bank, but it may take about 3 days. If there is a weekend in between, the money will take longer to arrive. For that reason, some Disability beneficiaries will get their money on January 29th or 30th.
Upcoming Social Security Payments
There are no more Social Security payments in the month of January, but Disability beneficiaries will be able to get a new retirement payment in the next week. There will also be another Supplemental Security Income payment. This other payment will go only to eligible beneficiaries.
On the one hand, the Supplemental Security Income will be paid on February 1st. This payment has a maximum check of $943 and is only for Americans 65 years of age or older or who have a disability. Likewise, it is also necessary to have a low monthly income.
On the other hand, on February 2nd, the beneficiaries for Disability of group 1 of retirees will have access to the check. This group is composed of retirees with a Social Security benefit prior to 1997.
