In just about 24 hours, millions of United States citizens with disability benefits will receive a check for up to $3,822. This payday is the last of the January paydays, so it is very important to know whether or not we qualify for this benefit. Receiving this check is critical for many Americans who have no other source of income.
So, if you are waiting to receive your Social Security Disability benefit payment, you may have the money in your checking account as early as this week. This all depends on whether or not you are part of retired worker group 4. This group has some major requirements to be able to be part of it. And if you are part of this group, then you will need to activate a specific payment method in order to receive the payment as soon as possible.
Just being part of the group is enough for the Social Security Administration to send you a disability check this week. But if we add to that the activation of the fastest payment method, we have a bit of an advantage because the payment will arrive immediately and we won’t have to wait a single day to get the money in our pockets. What payment method have you activated?
Who gets disability payments tomorrow?
The Social Security disability payment will arrive tomorrow for Group 4 retirees. This group is the group of beneficiaries who meet two requirements. These two requirements are birthday and year of retirement. The retired worker groups are configured by these two elements.
Therefore, if we want to receive the disability payment tomorrow, January 24, we have to take this into account:
- The birthday must be between 21 and 31. The month of birth is not important. Only the birthday matters.
- We also have to accept the social security payment after 1997. And it doesn’t matter what kind of benefit it is, so it can be for disability or any other reason.
Now, if we do not have Direct Deposit activated, which is the fastest way to receive Social Security, we will not be able to get the check immediately, but we will have to wait a few days before we can use it. What is certain is that the disability payment will be in our pocket, either sooner or later.
Upcoming Social Security Payments
Since the January 24th payment is the last Social Security check this month, we will have to wait until February to get a new check. This new check can arrive on 4 different days of the month.
To be more specific, the collection days in February will be the 2nd, 14th, 21st, and 28th. To receive the check on the 2nd, you must have a benefit prior to 1997. Post-1997 retirees will be paid on the remaining days of February.
Payments on the 14th, 21st and 28th will reach post-1997 disability beneficiaries based on their birthdays. So check the payment schedule and requirements for each day so you are much more financially organized before the new Social Security arrives. And remember to activate Direct Deposit in order to receive payment on the same day you ship. If not, you will have to wait a few more days, which even if it is not a long time, getting the payment later is always worse news.
