Each new Social Security check is for a specific group of United States pensioners. Anyone who has been collecting a retirement benefit for a while knows that perfectly well. Likewise, it is also possible to know at what time of the month we may receive each of these new checks.
The next of the payments will be on the 23rd day of August. On that day, the Social Security Administration will send out the last of the pensioner’s checks for the month. After that check, we will have to wait until September to receive a new check. If you have not yet received your check this month, you are in the last group.
Eligible retirees age 70 and over will be able to receive their last Social Security payment for August. All other retirees, whether they are 70 or not, will be paid on a different day. Remember that the criteria to know the day of the pensioner’s payment is not the age, but the year of retirement and the date of the birthday.
WHICH 70-YEAR-OLD RETIREES WILL RECEIVE SOCIAL SECURITY ON AUGUST 23RD?
In order to receive the Social Security payment on August 23, it is necessary to meet the criteria. The Administration sends benefits to retirees on different days depending on various items. The idea of sending the pensioner’s checks in a staggered manner is to avoid crowds and delays.
So in total there are 4 different days on which the Administration sends monthly checks to pensioners. Pensioners with a pre-1997 benefit received their check on August 3rd.
As of that day, only post-1997 retirees could receive the new checks. With this in mind, on August 9th, those born between the 1st and 10th of the month received their Social Security checks. Likewise, August 16th was the payment day for retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month.
Finally, the next payment is for retirees aged 70 years old and for the rest. Disability beneficiaries can also receive this benefit. The payment day will be August 23rd. This check has two requirements: to have the benefit since after 1997 and to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month.
Remember that we are talking about the days on which the Social Security Administration sends the money. Receiving it earlier or later will depend on the collection method we have chosen. If we choose Direct Deposit, any benefits will appear automatically without having to wait a single day. Otherwise, it may take up to 3 days for the money to appear.
