In just a few days a new Social Security check will appear in United States checking accounts. Of course, this check is not for All United States citizens, but only for a specific group that meets certain requirements. But if you have this benefit accepted, you can have up to 943 dollars in your pocket.
The payment of this monthly check reaches that amount, but that does not mean that all beneficiaries will have that much money every month. Likewise, we should also note that this payment from Social Security is not common at the end of the month. We are facing an irregularity in the payment of the checks for the month of May, so we have to organize our economy according to this irregularity.
Who gets the extra Social Security payment in May?
As we have already mentioned, the check for this benefit is not for All United States citizens. The payment of this Social Security check will only be for Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries. Also, the payments for this day will not arrive on the 31st of the month to all beneficiaries.
Although the Administration will send each and every Supplemental Security Income check on May 31st, we must activate Direct Deposit to get the money on that day. Therefore, if you have both requirements fulfilled you will be able to get the payment on that day.
Remember that the May 31st payment is actually an advance of the June 1st payment. Since June 1st is a weekend, the Social Security Administration advances the payment to the immediately preceding business day.
Other upcoming Social Security payments
The May 31st payment is the last Social Security payment for the entire month. So we will have to wait until June to see another monthly check. In total, the Administration will send out another 4 checks in the entire next month.
June payments will be in the following days:
- June 3rd.
- June 12th.
- June 18th.
- June 26th.
The June 3rd payment is for beneficiaries with a benefit prior to May 1997. All other beneficiaries will see a check on subsequent days, but depending on the birthday.
In other words, to collect on the 12th, 18th or 26th of June it is necessary to have the benefit since after May 1997. Similarly, we must also have a birthday between certain days in order to get a Social Security payment on these days of the month.
