Why will SSDI users not receive SSI in April?

Top reasons why Social Security checks do not arrive on time

The Social Security Administration always has a set date for all its payments. Thanks to this method, people in the United States know exactly when they will receive their pension. It is an ideal method for age and disability retirees to have complete control over their finances. However, it should be remembered that relying on Social Security payments as the sole source of income is not the best idea. It is unusual for Social Security payments to be the maximum of $4,194 per month, so it may not be enough to pay for everything.

With an average payment of $1,666 per month, the Social Security Administration brings in a fair amount of money for many families. But, as we have already mentioned, it is not enough for most families. Still, it is true that depending on the state you live in, an average retirement may be sufficient. But considering that this is not available to everyone, we have to check the source of income.

Fortunately, the Social Security Administration sends paychecks on time. So you just need to know the day on the calendar when the SSA will send the check to have an ideal organization in your household economy. The next payment will be on November 23. This is the last payment for the month of November. SSA will send the payment this day to retirees born between the 21st and 31st of the month. All other retirees should have already received their money. If you were born before these days, your payment was sent on the 9th or 16th of this month.

Remaining Social Security payments in 2022

In addition to the usual Social Security payments that will have to arrive in December, there are also double Supplemental Security Income payments. Despite this, it is true that one of those payments actually corresponds to the first payment of next year 2023. Anyway, let’s take a look at the calendar to eliminate any doubts.

Apart from the payment on the 23rd there is no other payment in November. Therefore, retirees born between the 21st and 31st will receive their benefit next Wednesday and will not have another Social Security check this month.

Up to 5 payments will be sent by the Social Security Administration in December 2022.

  • Dec. 1st. The SSA will send out December Supplemental Security Income checks this day.
  • Dec. 7th. The Social Security Administration this day will send payments to retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month.
  • Dec. 14th. SSA sends retirement checks to retirees born between the 11th and 20th of the month.
  • Dec. 21st. Retirees born between the 21st and 31st will receive their Social Security benefit on this day.
  • Dec. 30th. This payment is part of the January SSI. It is the first payment that will have the 8.7% COLA increase, as it actually belongs to the year 2023.

After that we will have to wait until 2023 to receive another payment from Social Security.
