Citizens of the United States are fortunate to be able to know in advance what their Social Security payment day is. Both seniors and disability retirees have the possibility of knowing in advance the day on which they will receive their Social Security money. Thanks to this, family financial organization is much simpler and more convenient. Retirees can know how much money they will receive and when they will have it in their bank account. In addition, it is very easy to keep track of the days on which the money is received. We simply need to know our day of birth. From there, pinpointing the day we will collect is a simple task.
Social Security payment days are always the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month. In addition to this, the Supplemental Security Income payment is always on the 1st of the month. There is one exception to this. When the 1st of the month is a holiday or weekend, the SSI payment is sent on the immediately preceding business day. As a general rule, in these cases, Social Security sends the SSI money on the 30th day of the previous month. Even so, it is usual to receive it in the same month, unless you have Direct Deposit activated.
Fortunately, the Social Security Administration always sends payments in a timely manner. This allows all retirees with an accepted benefit to have complete control over all income for the month. However, remember that it is not a good idea to rely 100% on SSA income, as it may not be enough in many cases.
Knowing this information, the payment days for November are the 1st, 9th, 16th and 23rd. Each of these days Social Security sends the money to a different group of people, so pay attention to the full calendar to know if you will collect on one day or the other. The day of the birthday is the day that definitively marks the day on which Social Security will send us our money. In spite of this, it can take up to 3 days to appear in our bank account if we do not have Direct Deposit activated, a very useful method to have our money the same day of the collection.
November Social Security payment schedule
These are the days when the Social Security Administration will send money to beneficiaries in November:
- November 1st: Supplemental Security Income payment. To find out if you can collect this benefit, use the BEST tool.
- November 9th: Social Security payment for those born between the 1st and 10th of the month. This is the second Wednesday of the month.
- November 16th: Third Wednesday of the month. SSA sends payment to those born between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- November 23rd. Fourth Wednesday of the month. The SSA payment on this day is for beneficiaries with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
All of these payments are made in a timely manner. For any delays, first contact your bank and then contact a Social Security office. If you want to forget about delays in payments related to Social Security, you can use Direct Deposit. Thanks to this method you will get all your retirement and disability payments immediately.
Although we don’t yet know whether or not it will exactly happen, there is a new bill that could increase SSA benefits. If this new bill passes, retirees will see an annual Social Security increase of $2,400.
In addition to all of the above, all benefits will see an increase next year. This increase is certain. The COLA will cause Social Security payments to increase by 8.7%. And for this it matters neither retirement age nor disability. All payments will see this increase.
