Disability payments from the Social Security Administration are starting to reach a large group of retirees in the United States. Millions of Americans are waiting to cash this check to effectively organize their finances. Thanks to disability checks, many citizens are able to pay their bills every month.
However, we must be very careful to watch out for the day we cash our check. The Social Security Administration sends out these disability benefits on specific days, but that does not mean that recipients will receive the money on that day. In order to cash the check immediately, it is mandatory to activate an indispensable option.
If this collection option is not activated, the disability benefit check may take longer than we would like. Even so, we will always end up receiving it, sooner or later. But it is true that receiving it sooner will always make things a lot easier on the finances of Social Security disability beneficiaries.
Who gets the next disability check?
The next Social Security disability check is only for one group of retirees. This group of retirees has to meet two basic requirements. In addition to those two basic requirements, they must have the benefit previously accepted. It is not possible to cash a disability check if it is still in process. So pay attention and make sure that your benefit is fully accepted.
The mandatory requirements to be met in order to receive the next check are as follows:
- Retirement after 1997.
- You must have your birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
This causes retirees to collect on the next day of Social Security disability payments. The day, to be exact, will be May 10, 2023. After that, the Administration will send different checks to other groups of retirees.
Other Social Security Payments in May
If you do not meet the above requirements, there is nothing to worry about. All retirees who have their disability benefit accepted will get their monthly check without any problems. The only thing you need to know is the day the Social Security Administration will send it.
After the 10th day payment there are two more payments. The first of these other payments for disability beneficiaries will be on May 17. To get the payment on this day, you must have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month.
Finally, the 24th of May is the day on which the Administration will send payments to beneficiaries born between the 21st and 31st of the month. To be part of these two groups, it is also mandatory to have applied for retirement after 1997.
Beneficiaries born before that date received their disability benefit on the 3rd day of May. All beneficiaries in this group received payment on that day regardless of their birthday.
