In order to perfectly follow the Social Security payment schedule, pensioners in the United States have the option of consulting it every month. Fortunately, the Social Security Administration announces it well in advance. Thanks to this, retirees can get organized in their household accounts.
However, not all retirees receive their Social Security checks on the same day. The Administration sends the benefit to retirees on different days. Thus, we have up to three different groups of pensioners. The information that separates these pensioners into groups is not the type of retirement, but the day of their birthday.
Therefore, depending on the days on which a pensioner was born, he or she will receive the benefit on one day or another. The payment days are always the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month. The next Social Security payment will be on the second Wednesday of February and corresponds to the first of the pensioner groups.
When is the next Social Security check?
On Social Security payment days there are many pensioners who are happy about the situation. There are many pensioners who will see the cheque with its amount in the next few days. To be exact, the second Wednesday of the month will be the day when the Social Security Administration will send this new check for February.
Also, only retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month will be able to receive the benefit on this day. In conclusion, retirees born between the first ten days of the month will receive their check on February 8, 2023. The rest of the retirees will have to wait for the following weeks to get the check with the specific dollar amount.
Other Pension Payments in February 2023
The February 8th payment is not the only payment the Social Security Administration will make during this entire second month of the year. In addition to that payment, there are two different ones it will send on consecutive Wednesdays.
- February 15th. Social Security payment to retirees born between the 11th and 20th of any month.
- February 22nd. SSA will send pension check to retirees born between the 21st and 31st of any month.
It is important to remember that these payments are sent to retirees born between these two days of any month. It does not matter the month of birth, only the day. Thus, a retiree born in January can collect his or her Social Security check in February, March and the rest of the months of the year.
