Any citizen of the United States knows that Social Security sends benefits on a monthly basis. On the other hand, the amount of these benefits does not change throughout the year. This means that inflation can cause a lot of problems for a large number of retirees. On the other hand, workers do get to see their salaries increase, so they can cope with this increase in a better way.
Not until January of next year 2023 will we see a Social Security increase thanks to the COLA. This means that therefore all current increases due to inflation will directly affect pensioners. And it doesn’t matter if you have a retirement or disability pension. The only important thing in these cases is that, at least, every month you can count on that money. The next payment will come soon. Will you receive it?
Who gets the next Social Security?
To find out who gets the next Social Security, you need to look at your date of birth. If you were born between the 1st and 10th of the month, the next SSA payment will go into your bank account. If not, don’t worry. It will arrive a little later, but it will be in your pocket, just like every month. Thus, payments will be received on September 14, 21 and 28.
So that you have the information more clearly, below we put you all the payments that Social Security makes in September, including SSI. This is the calendar:
- 1st of the month: September SSI. This is the Supplemental Security Income payment and it doesn’t matter what your birthday is.
- 14th of the month: The Social Security Administration sends the money to those born between the 1st and 10th.
- 21st of the month: On this day, the SSA pays subsidies to beneficiaries with birthdays between the 11th and 20th.
- 28th of the month: All those who have a Social Security benefit and were born between the 21st and 31st of the month collect their pay on this day.
- 30th of the month: October SSI. This is because October 1st is a weekend.
