Citizens of the United States can find out the day on which they will collect their Social Security cheque. The schedule of payments is easy to follow for its users, with Wednesdays always being the days on which they collect their benefit. Each retiree receives the money on a different day because the Social Security Administration divides beneficiaries into three different groups.
In each of these groups we can find retirees of all ages and conditions. Therefore, it does not matter the type of retirement to receive the cheque on a different day or another. The important thing to know the exact day on which a retiree will receive the cheque is another important requirement. Knowing this requirement alone will make it easy to determine exactly what day each retiree will have his or her cheque in his or her pocket.
Social Security will send a new cheque next week to a group of retirees who meet one main requirement. The payment day will be January 28, 2023 and not all retirees are eligible to receive this cheque. In order to receive the benefit on this day, it is necessary to be born on specific days of the month. Are you on the list to receive the next Social Security cheque?
Social Security payments in January 2023
There are 3 different Social Security payments in January 2023. These three payments are all for Social Security retirees in the United States. And it doesn’t matter the retirement status. Collecting the disability, orphan’s or widow’s or widower’s cheque is not important. These are the SSA payment days in January 2023.
- January 11th. Retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month collect on this day.
- January 18th. Pensioners with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month receive their cheque on this day.
- January 25th. Pensioners born between the 21st and 31st of the month receive their Social Security cheque on this day.
After this last payment, retirees must wait until February to receive their next cheque.
How to receive the SSA cheque?
In order to receive the Social Security cheque, two different methods can be used. Each retiree can choose the method he/she prefers, since both are totally valid.
On the one hand, we have the Direct Deposit method. This way of cashing the cheque is very fast and safe. It has the advantage of immediacy compared to the other Social Security cashing method.
On the other hand, we can also receive the cheque by bank deposit. However, it can take up to 3 days for the money to appear in our account, so we must wait a little longer to receive it.
