SNAP benefits might be just around the corner in some parts of the United States. It will depend on the state where you live though. Are you a new SNAP beneficiary and it is the first time you collect them? Do not worry because you can learn all the dates here. There are other factors that could delay your payment.
Therefore, even if you live in the same state as other SNAP beneficiaries, you might get it on a different date. It could be because of the letter of your last name, the number of your SNAP application or SSN, etc. Remember that you will get your SNAP check in the form of an EBT card. This is a safe way to pay but you should never give your EBT card information to anyone because there are some scams.
When can you collect your SNAP benefit if you live in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and Arkansas?
They are arranged in alphabetical order but these states have different dates to pay SNAP benefits. Alabama will pay them between the 4th and the 23rd of April. Alaska will sort it out in just one day. Yes, it will be on April fools’ day, April 1, 2023. It is not a joke though. Recipients in Arizona will be able to collect it from April 1 through April 13. Arkansas will do the same for ten days, from April 4 through April 13.
Californians can collect SNAP benefits from the first of April until the tenth, just like qualifying recipients in Colorado. Connecticut will start paying them on April 1 till April 3. Delaware will start the payment one day later, from April 2 to April 23. The District of Columbia has also a ten-day window. From the very first day of April until the 10th of April.
What if you live in Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, or Illinois?
SNAP benefits will come to Florida from April 1 until April 28. Therefore, there will be payments for most of the month. Georgians will receive their Food Stamps between April 5 and April 23. In Hawaii, there will be just three days to receive them. The third, fourth, and fifth of April will be the exact dates. If you happen to live in Idaho, the period to collect SNAP checks will be once more for the first ten days.
People in Illinois who are entitled to collect them will get them in two different windows. It could be from the 1st-10th of April or the 1st-20th of April if you have collected SNAP for a long time. Beneficiaries in Indiana have from April 5 to April 23. Iowa and Kansas have the same date as Idaho, the 1st-10th of April. Kentucky has payments from the first to the nineteenth.
