The United States disability benefit (SSDI) is a type of check issued by the Social Security Administration. The payment is monthly, so each new month all recipients of this benefit can access the payment. However, it is also possible to stop receiving it if the conditions are no longer met.
In many cases we find that the Disability Benefit (SSDI) payment is due to a condition of birth. In those particular cases it is very rare for the Social Security Administration to stop paying monthly checks. But there is a way to lose the Disability Benefit if you get the payment not because of a condition of birth.
One of the big conditions of getting SSDI is not being able to work for at least one year. Therefore, if a citizen starts working again he will find that the Social Security Administration will stop payment on the check. This is because in that case he or she is in violation of the conditions.
But all is not lost for these citizens, as everything can change from one month to the next. If we have a disability again or the same disability as before prevents us from working we could get our SSDI check back.
HOW TO GET AN EXTRA 6 MONTHS OF SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY INCOME (SSDI)?
Considering that it is possible to lose your SSDI benefit because of what we were talking about before, we should also think that we could get it back. Even if we recover our health and stop having a disability temporarily, the situation could get worse in the future.
If we have to stop working again, we can reapply for SSDI. There is a name for this and it is called Expedited Reinstatement. In most cases, it will not be necessary to go through the entire application process again, but just reapply for the benefit.
While the Social Security Administration studies our case we will be able to temporarily get an extra benefit of 6 months. This check will arrive in the same way checks usually arrive to disability beneficiaries.
Once we have the check accepted again, we will be able to receive our benefits as before. Therefore, we can have great peace of mind knowing that even if we lose the payment we can get it back in the future.
WHEN DOES THE NEXT SOCIAL SECURITY SSDI PAYMENT ARRIVE?
In the next week the Social Security Administration will be sending out the new checks to Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries in the United States. The exact date will be the 15th of November and it is necessary to meet certain requirements in order to receive the payment on the same day.
There are three requirements to collect the November 15th Social Security payment:
- Have a benefit since after 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- Activate Direct Deposit as a payment method.
The type of benefit is not important in determining whether or not you will receive a payment. Also, the Direct Deposit is used to get the money immediately. If we do not have this activated the Administration will send us the disability payment that day, but we may get it later.
