Because the United States Social Security Administration announces the payment schedule well in advance, retirees can know when they will receive their monthly checks. And in the next week the Administration will send out a new check for those retirees who fall into the second group of post-1997 beneficiaries.
Although it may seem difficult to understand, the truth is that it is quite simple. Throughout the month the Social Security Administration uses a system in which it sends 4 different checks to retirees. Each of these checks is for a specific group of beneficiaries. Therefore, each retiree can access only one of the checks on one of the established dates.
In this way, a beneficiary who has a check prior to 1997 will always receive the first of the payments while retirees after that year get Social Security on one of the next three collection days. This is how the Administration manages to send all payments without delays, which means that retirees can count on that money month by month.
On the next payment day we will be on the third Wednesday of the month. This means that pre-1997 retirees will not be able to cash this check. Only retirees after 1997 with a birthday on a certain date will be able to get this money from Social Security.
WHO CAN COLLECT THE NEXT SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK?
Regardless of whether the retiree is age 62 or 70, the next Social Security check will go to Group 3 retirees. This group is made up of beneficiaries who have a post-1997 check and who also have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month.
These benefits are only for this group, so if we do not meet these requirements we will have to wait for the next payday or we could already have the money in the bank account, if we belong to groups 1 or 2. It is advisable to check well the group to which we belong to avoid problems when receiving these payments.
Undoubtedly, having a Social Security benefit is very convenient because we not only know that we will get the money every month, but we also know perfectly well the day when we could cash the check. In this particular case, the payment will be made on the 15th of November, which is the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
WHAT OTHER SSA PAYMENTS ARE THERE AFTER THE 15TH OF NOVEMBER?
The payment on the 15th of November will not be the last payment that the Social Security Administration will send out this month. In addition to this check, there will be another check on the 22nd. This will be the last payment of the month, so if we do not collect the pensioner’s pension on this day we should claim the payment.
In order to collect the payment on the last day of the month it is necessary to have the benefit since after 1997. Likewise, it is also necessary to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month. After this check we will have to wait to get the next payment in December.
Remember also that these calendar days are the days that the Social Security Administration uses to send checks. In order for a retiree to get payment on the same day it is mandatory to activate Direct Deposit. Otherwise, there is no exact day on which we will get the money, it will arrive in the days following the mailing.
