The truth is that certain Social Security beneficiaries can get up to three checks from the Administration in May 2024. To do so, Supplemental Security Income must be accepted. This extra benefit will arrive on two different days this month.
On May 1st, the Administration sent the first of the Supplemental Security Income payments. This payment is for the month of May and has a maximum check of $943. At this time of the month all beneficiaries should have this check in their bank checking account.
The second payment of this benefit will arrive on the 31st of May. This day will be the advance payment of the June Supplemental Security Income benefit. The Social Security Administration will send it earlier because June 1st will be a weekend.
