One of the great advantages that United States citizens with a Disability benefit have is knowing the day of collection. This is true not only for SSDI, but also for any other type of Social Security benefit.
Best of all, just by knowing two pieces of personal information, we have access to the exact day on which we will be able to collect the money. Still, each new check means we have to wait until next month. There is only one Social Security Disability payment per month, so we have to keep that in mind for our own organization.
Which two disability groups get the new monthly check?
In the next two weeks we will have the new Disability payment in our checking account. But there are certain requirements that must be met in order to qualify to have the money available. In total, there will be two new payments that the Social Security Administration will send before the end of April 2024.
These are the days and requirements:
- April 17th. Payment for retirees with a post-1997 check. Also, it is necessary to have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- April 24th. Social Security Disability beneficiaries after 1997 can collect on this day. In addition, it is also mandatory to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
With this information we will have enough to mark on the calendar the day the retirement check will be sent. And remember that the type of retirement does not matter in order to determine if we will have Social Security before or after. It doesn’t matter if it is for disability, widowhood or other reasons.
When is the next SSI coming for Disability beneficiaries?
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a type of benefit that is available only to Americans over age 65 or disabled. This benefit has a maximum payment of $943 per month and is exclusive to the neediest Americans.
Each month, the Social Security Administration sends these payments on the 1st. So we will have to wait until May 1st to enjoy a new benefit. No matter what the birthday or anything like that.
All SSI checks will go out on the 1st of May. That said, getting them sooner or later will depend on the collection method we have activated. If we have Direct Deposit, the check will arrive immediately. If not, it will arrive within a few days of mailing for Disability beneficiaries and all other Americans.
