Unlike Social Security benefit payments in the United States, which follow a federal schedule, SNAP Food Stamps arrive on different days depending on the state. This benefit is controlled on a state-by-state basis, which means that each state can send checks on different days. For that reason we find that some states will no longer be sending out payments this January.
While this is true, the reality is that there is nothing to worry about. SNAP Food Stamps payments go to all recipients who have this benefit accepted. Therefore, if we meet the requirements, we will have no problem collecting our check on a monthly basis. But getting the payment sooner or later will depend largely on the State in which you live.
Also, there are some States that do not send the checks at the same time. Some States do pay SNAP Food Stamps to all their recipients on the first working day of the month, but there are others that classify recipients into different groups. In this sense it is also possible to get the payment earlier or later depending on the last name we have.
But we can sleep peacefully if we have the benefit accepted. Because once the USDA accepts to send us the SNAP Food Stamps we will have the payment every month without fail. Unless we stop meeting the requirements to get the payment, then we would stop receiving it.
