Social Security – New SSI 2023 payment of $914 in just 24 hours

67-year-old retirees will receive their first Social Security paychecks in February 2023

Among all the advantages of receiving a Social Security benefit in the United States, knowing your payday is a big one. Being able to calculate what your income will be and thus having absolute control of your finances is something that American seniors value very much. Thus, knowing the day on which they will be able to have the money directly is a huge help.

In addition to this, there is also the advantage of knowing at all times the amount they will receive from Social Security. In case it is less than what a retiree needs, extra income can always be sought. There are many ways of earning money to supplement the retirement benefit without having to worry about taxes.

Today retirees will receive one of the payments that will see any senior born between the 1st and 10th of the month receive their direct check of up to $4,194. This is the maximum check, of course, as the average such payment is $1,666 per month. Even so, it is common for a retiree’s check to be larger than this figure. Remember that it is not mandatory to have been born in the same month as the benefit.

Regardless of the month of birth, retirees will always receive their benefit each month. Thus, retirees born in January will be able to enjoy the check for January, March, April and the rest of the months. The important thing is the exact day of birth, as there are three different groups of retirees.

In addition to this, there are other different payments in this month of December. The 21st and 28th of December are the other days of the retirement payments in the last month of the year 2022. On the third Wednesday of the month, retirees born between the 11th and 20th of a month will receive their check. On the other hand, on the last Wednesday of the month it will be the turn of retirees born between the 21st and 31st of any month.

What is the best way to receive my pension?

There are two ways to receive your Social Security pension:

  • Direct Deposit. The fastest way. The money appears immediately in this method.
  • Deposit into a bank account. This method is slower, as it can take up to 3 days for the Social Security money to appear.

Each senior can choose his or her favorite method, as it is not mandatory to have Direct Deposit or a bank account. But it is not possible to collect the pension through checks by regular mail.
