One of the great advantages of collecting a benefit from the United States government, whether it is SNAP or a Social Security check, is that we can know on what day we will receive the money. While it is true that not all benefits arrive on the same day, it is possible to know an approximate number of days in which we will be able to collect our benefit.
In the case of Food Stamps (also known as SNAP), each state handles the payment differently. Unlike Social Security checks, which the Administration sends them on the same day to all states, SNAP arrives on different days depending on the state in which we live.
And during the days of this week, citizens who usually receive Food Stamps will be able to enjoy their benefit on the EBT card if they live in specific states. The rest of the states will also send SNAP but on different days.
In addition to all of this, it is also good to keep in mind that the amount of SNAP you receive does not affect the day you receive it. So it doesn’t matter if you collect the maximum or the minimum from your state. The money will arrive equally for all citizens living in the same place.

STATES SENDING THE SNAP THIS WEEK
This list of states that will send SNAP this week is a guideline. On special occasions, there may be changes in the sending of Food Stamp checks. It all depends on the situation in each state, as happened with the State of Florida last week.
These states are the ones sending Food Stamps within this week:
- Alabama: Oct. 4-23
- North Carolina: Oct. 3 – Oct. 21
- Delaware: October 2-23
- Florida: October 1 – 28
- Georgia: October 5-23
- Indiana: October 5 – 23
- Kentucky: October 1 to 19
- Louisiana: October 1 to 23
- Maryland: October 4 – 23
- Michigan: October 3 to 21
- Mississippi: October 4-21
- Missouri: October 1 to 22
- New Mexico: October 1 to 20
- Ohio: October 2 – 20
- Tennessee: October 1 to 20
- Texas: October 1 to 28
- Washington: October 1 to 20
Some of the states that are not on the list may send SNAP checks between the days of this week, but they may also send them later, which is why we have not included them.
In addition, it is also possible for these checks to be delayed. It is not common for this to happen, but it could happen. So if the Food Stamp checks don’t arrive on the scheduled days, you may be able to claim the money.
Even so, it is not common for SNAP money to arrive late on EBT cards. In fact, it is very common for it to arrive early and we can use it early in the month to buy what we need on our grocery list.
