Supplemental Security Income payments for the month of July will arrive earlier than the United States Government’s usual schedule. The general rule is that the Social Security Administration sends the Supplemental Security Income payment on the 1st of each month. But sometimes we find exceptions that change this situation and the month of July falls within these exceptions.
So United States citizens who have this benefit accepted will be able to receive their Supplemental Security Income earlier than usual. In addition, the money will arrive immediately in the pockets of citizens who activate the faster payment method. This will be a great advantage, especially at this time of the year when the summer organization is so close.
Retirees who are thinking about buying a vacation will have a little extra money in June thanks to Supplemental Security Income. This could be a big advantage over the rest of the months.
Still, remember that it’s not an extra check, even if it looks like one. This money is actually July’s money sent ahead of time. Will you be able to get your July Supplemental Security Income early?

Who can receive the July Supplemental Security Income early?
In order to cash the check early, it is mandatory to activate a specific cashing method. We are talking about Direct Deposit. Using this collection method, any Social Security check will arrive instantly. Therefore, we will not have to wait to receive the Supplemental Security Income or any other payment from the Administration.
This will ensure that the day the Social Security Administration sends the check for Supplemental Security Income will arrive in our pockets. The payment day will be next June 30th. Despite this, it is an early check, as it is customary in these cases for payment to arrive on the 1st of the month.
Why does SSI arrive earlier?
The general rule is that the Supplemental Security Income payment arrives on the 1st of each month. However, when this day is a holiday or weekend, the check arrives earlier. At least the Social Security Administration sends it earlier. Receiving it on the day of mailing will depend on the collection method we have activated, as we have already mentioned.
When this happens, Social Security sends the money on the immediately preceding business day. In the case of this month, the immediately preceding business day is June 30th. So we can count on July’s Supplemental Security Income money in June.
July Social Security Payment Schedule
After this advance Supplemental Security Income payment, the Social Security Administration will send out July checks on the following days:
- July 3rd.
- July 12th.
- July 19th.
- July 26th.
On each of these days a different group of beneficiaries will receive their money. In order to determine on which day we will receive the benefit we only have to take into account the year of retirement and the day of the birthday.
Pensioners prior to 1997 are always paid on the 3rd day of the month, with some exceptions. The rest are paid on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month depending on the day of birth.
