Top reasons why Social Security checks do not arrive on time

The IRS tax season has already started. This news came out a month ago, and it was last January 23rd when the Internal Revenue Service of the United States announced that we could already send our tax return. Millions of citizens have already done so, but there are still many who have not.

That is why the IRS has decided to remind taxpayers that tax season has a deadline. Without that deadline, millions of citizens would take much longer to send in their tax return. It is good to have this type of information so that we know on what days we can send our tax filing.

Besides that, not only is it important to send our tax return as soon as possible, but doing so will give us an advantage. The IRS cannot check our tax return and send our tax refund until we send it first. For that reason, it may be more important than it seems not to procrastinate.

When is the IRS tax return deadline?

The deadline to send our tax return to the IRS is April 18. On this day, the IRS will be completely closed to receiving submissions, with exceptions. If we want an extension of the tax season we will have to request it in advance. However, it is not something that all citizens can get.

It’s tax filing season! Keep in mind this year’s deadline is April 18 for most people. #IRS urges you to file electronically with direct deposit after you’ve gathered all the necessary info to prepare an accurate tax return. See more: https://t.co/c7Ocqeejxb pic.twitter.com/mSdQZlhHuF

Ultimately, we should not have to ask for this extension, quite the opposite. Expediting the process is key to getting the tax refund as soon as possible. Remember that even though the IRS accepts tax filings until April 18, it is not advisable to wait that long to do so.

How to receive the tax refund sooner?

There are two actions that accelerate the receipt of the tax refund from the IRS. In order to receive our tax refund as soon as possible, we must take into account these two things:

  1. File your tax return as soon as possible. As we have previously discussed, filing an early tax return will get us the stimulus check with the tax refund sooner. Millions of Americans already have their tax refund in their pocket or are about to do so.
  2. Method of collection. Although we can receive this tax refund through a physical check, this is not recommended. The best way to receive the tax refund is to activate Direct Deposit. This collection method is immediate and effective. So as soon as the IRS sends the money we will have it in our pocket.

Considering that the deadline for the tax refund is April 18th of this year, we still have time. But we can’t afford to delay, because delaying these events is always a bad idea.
