United States Social Security Disability benefits reach United States citizens on different days of the month. Every citizen with an accepted benefit, whether for age retirement or other reasons, cashes one of these checks monthly, but only one. And the day he or she gets the money depends on several factors.
So, this very week thousands of United States citizens could get one of these checks. In order to cash it, only two conditions need to be met. If those two conditions are met, the disability payment of up to $3,822 could arrive in the next few days. Even if this were not the case, there would be nothing to worry about, since the payment would still reach our pockets during the month.
The important thing in these cases is to have the benefit accepted. If we have it accepted, the payment will arrive in one day or another. With just a little bit of personal information we will be able to know perfectly well on which day we will get the payment of this benefit. So be sure to pay attention to these official Social Security disability schedules so you can be in complete control of your household finances.
Who gets a disability payment this week?
The Social Security SSDI benefit will be coming this week to the second largest group of retirees in the United States. This payment will be made in just a few hours and only beneficiaries within that group will have access to the benefit. Two requirements must be met in order to access the payment.
These two mandatory requirements for the January 10th disability check are:
- Have a benefit (regardless of whether it is for disability or for some other reason) since after 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of any month.
As for the date of birth, neither the year of birth nor the month is important. The only important thing in these cases is the day of the month in which the beneficiary was born. On the other hand, it does not matter if the check is for disability or not. Any retiree who meets these two requirements will have access to the January 10th payment.
More Social Security Payments in January
After the January 10th payment, the Social Security Administration will send other benefits to U.S. retirees. On the one hand, the 17th will be another payment day for retirees and on the other hand, the 24th will also be another payment day for disability beneficiaries.
In order to get either of these other two payments we will have to meet certain requirements. These requirements are very similar to the conditions of the January 10th payments. In fact, one of the requirements is exactly the same, but the other is different. Post-1997 retirees make up a large group of beneficiaries that is divided into three different groups.
On January 17th, retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month will be paid. The January 24th payment day will be only for beneficiaries with a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month. Also, both groups are required to have had the benefit since after 1997.
Remember that if you want to get a Social Security disability check on the same day it is necessary to have Direct Deposit activated. If this option is not activated, the check will arrive a few days later.
