March is coming to an end and with it another United States Social Security calendar. Within this calendar we always find Supplemental Security Income payments, regardless of whether we have one mailing of this check or two. It is true that sometimes we find that there is no check during the days of the month, as will be the case in April.
Therefore, this means that on the last day of March the Social Security Administration will send out the April Supplemental Security Income check. This payment will reach the pockets of citizens who meet a requirement. To be exact, they must meet two different requirements, since one of them is to have the benefit itself accepted.
The rest of the retirees will not receive this benefit in advance. And it’s a shame that this happens, because one of the great advantages of the irregularities in the schedule is being able to have the check in advance. Still, the Supplemental Security Income check will reach everyone’s pockets, so there’s no need to worry about it. Will it reach your bank account on time?
Who will not receive the Supplemental Security Income extra check?
To receive the extra Supplemental Security Income check in March, retirees must meet two requirements:
- Have SSI payment accepted.
- Activate Direct Deposit as a payment method.
If these two requirements are met, we will be able to access any Supplemental Security Income check in advance. At the very least, we will be able to receive it before retirees who do not have Direct Deposit active.
The Social Security Administration sends out the April SSI check on the 31st of March. This means that we will not get a check in April, at least for those who receive the money early. This makes the extra check in March may not seem so advantageous for everyone.
In short, if we have Direct Deposit we will be able to cash the April Supplemental Security Income check in March. But this will mean that in April we won’t get a new check. So financial organization in the household is critical to avoid a lot of problems.
Upcoming Social Security Payments
The April Supplemental Security Income payment is not the only one Social Security will be sending out in the next few days. In addition to this payment, retirees will be able to cash their check according to the schedule:
- April 3rd. Retirees who applied for their check before 1997 will receive their benefit on this day.
- April 12th. Day on which Social Security will send retirement check to those born between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- April 19th. The Administration pays the pension on this day to beneficiaries with birthdays between the 11th and 20th.
- April 26th. Last payment of all kinds of Social Security for April. This money is for beneficiaries with birthdays between the 21st and 31st.
Thanks to this calendar, any retiree with a pension can know the days on which they will receive both their regular benefit and Supplemental Security Income.
