The United States retirement payment is directly dependent on the Social Security calendar. And that is that these types of benefits reach different United States citizens who are retired on different days of the month. Each day of the month is a collection day for a different group of beneficiaries.
So if you have a benefit, you should know that Social Security may send you the payment on one of the following days. However, each day has specific requirements, so if you do not meet all of the established requirements, you should look at the other days and their respective requirements.
Schedule of Social Security payments for retirees in June
Within the month of June we will have up to four different checks sent by the Social Security Administration. Thus, just by knowing at what time of the month the Administration will send our retirement check, we will be able to mark the collection day on the calendar.
The retirement payment days in June are:
- June 3rd. Social Security payment for retirees prior to May 1997.
- June 12th. The Administration sends retirement payment to beneficiaries with birthdays between the 1st and 10th and a check after May 1997.
- June 18th. This day’s payment is for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month.
- June 26th. To get a check for this day, you must have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month, in addition to having a benefit after May 1997.
We will have no further payment in June, since the check from Social Security for this month’s Supplemental Security Income was mailed on the immediately preceding business day, May 31st.
What is the maximum Social Security retirement amount in June 2024?
The maximum check depends on the retirement category. But what is certain is that it is not possible to collect a Social Security payment greater than $4,873 in June 2024. This is the maximum age retirement benefit, since the maximum Disability check is $3,822.
But it is good to keep in mind that the Administration does not award the maximum check to all beneficiaries. Each of the payments is totally individual and depends on the work history of each beneficiary applying for the retirement benefit.
But the good thing is that the amount of the check does not change on the day of payment. It is only the items listed above that determine whether our Social Security retirement benefit arrives earlier or later.
