United States Disability benefits arrive every month to American households. Thus, the Social Security Administration sends checks to retirees on different days of the month. Therefore, each of these mailings is for a different group of retirees. Whether we get the next of the checks or not will depend on whether we qualify for them.
Likewise, the payment of the disability benefit arrives in the same way as the retirement for age. In this sense, when it comes to setting up the groups for sending the payments the type of benefit does not change the day of receipt. What really determines the day on which we receive our check is both the year of retirement and the date of birth.
Therefore, it makes no difference whether our benefit is disability, age retirement or survivor. The same payment day can be used for all three groups of retirees. The important thing is to have the benefit accepted in advance. With this in mind, the next thing to do is simply to check the dates on which the Administration will send payments.
Which group receives the next disability benefit?
So in order to get disability benefit we are going to have to meet two basic requirements. Apart from having the benefit accepted, which is something fundamental, we are going to have to:
- Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- Have the benefit since after 1997.
These are the two fundamental requirements to obtain the disability benefit on the 12th of July. However, there are more retirement payments during this month. So, if you don’t receive a check on this day you will likely receive it in the next few weeks.
Social Security payment schedule for July
July Social Security Administration payments, disability and non-disability, will arrive on different days for retirees. Let’s take a look at all the payments for the month, including those already sent, so every citizen can check to see when they should receive their money.
- July 3rd. Payment for pre-1997 retirees.
- July 12th. The Social Security disability payment on this day is for beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th of the month. It is also necessary to have the benefit since after 1997.
- July 19th. The check on this day is for retirees after 1997. In addition, they must have their birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- July 26th. Retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month are paid on this day. However, it is also mandatory to have retirement after 1997.
And remember that the Social Security Administration sends the money on these days. This does not mean that the disability benefit arrives on these days. In order to receive the benefit instantly, it is mandatory to activate Direct Deposit. If we do not activate this collection method, the money will still arrive, but it will take up to 3 days to appear.
