When a United States citizen begins to get a Social Security Disability payment, he or she can know the time of the month when he or she gets it. The timing of retirement benefit payments is very easy to follow.
In addition, every month the Social Security Administration repeats the schedule for Disability and other benefit payments. Therefore, we can mark on the calendar the day on which the Administration will send us each check. Also, keeping track of the method of collection is also key to getting your payment as soon as possible.
How to get the Disability Benefit today?
There is one requirement that must be met in order to receive a Disability payment from the Social Security Administration today. We only need to meet that requirement for the Administration to send us a check, but collecting payment today requires an extra requirement.
So, we have to be a Group 1 retiree if we want to get this new benefit. And to do so, all we have to do is have a Disability or other check from before May 1997. And there is no other extra requirement to belong to this group of retirees.
However, it is mandatory to activate Direct Deposit if you want to obtain the payment of this benefit on the same day it is sent. If we don’t do this, we will still get the check, but a few days later. So it’s a good idea to have Direct Deposit activated so you can get your payment as soon as possible.
Are there more Social Security Disability payments in April 2024?
After the April 3rd payment, the Administration will send other different payments to beneficiaries for Disability. However, they will have different requirements. Each of these payments has different conditions for getting it.
However, the main requirement is to have the benefit accepted in advance. It is not possible to collect the retirement check if the check has not been previously accepted by the Administration. If the payment is in process, we must wait until My Social Security shows that the benefit has been accepted.
In April we will have payments on the 10th, 17th and 24th days. The first of these days is for retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month. The second day is for retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month. The last of these days will be for Disability beneficiaries born between the 21st and 31st of any month. In addition, it is also mandatory to have the benefit since after May 1997.
