The payment schedule established by the United States Social Security Administration is generally the same each month. However, there are months when the Supplemental Security Income check changes slightly due to irregularities in the calendar. But there is nothing to worry about, as you will still receive your check.
If we have accepted the Supplemental Security Income benefit, we will receive it every month, either earlier or later. The slight change in the calendar does not mean one check less or one check more. The important thing in these cases is just to have the benefit. Once the Social Security Administration accepts our Supplemental Security Income check, we should stop worrying about receiving it.
The usual date for these payments to be sent is the 1st of each month. The Social Security Administration sends out the Supplemental Security Income check on those days of the month. But that doesn’t mean that all retirees get that benefit on that exact day. It’s important to keep this in mind, as the collection method you choose will result in an earlier or later payment. Which collection method do you use for Social Security payments?
Who receives two Supplemental Security Income checks in June 2023?
There are no exceptions to this rule: all Supplemental Security Income recipients will receive two Supplemental Security Income checks in June. At the very least, the Social Security Administration will send two of these checks within the month of June 2023. Whether you receive it in the same month or a few days later depends on the collection mode you have activated.
If you need to receive the double money in the same month of June, you should activate Direct Deposit. Otherwise, you may have to wait up to 3 days for the money to appear in your bank account. This is not a cause for concern, since we will still receive the money, but we will not have the time in advance to help us organize our household finances.
