As is the case every month, the Social Security Administration has already begun mailing checks to disability beneficiaries in the United States. If you are in this situation, you may be able to collect your disability benefit money today. To do so, you must meet two minimum requirements. One of them is none other than having the benefit already accepted, so you only need to pay attention to the second one.
It goes without saying that in order to receive a check today, you must belong to a certain group. This group of Social Security disability users is the one that receives payment on the second day of the check mailing. Each month, the Social Security Administration sends up to 4 different checks to retirees. There is a separate check, the Supplemental Security Income check, which has different eligibility requirements.
With this in mind, we must meet two main requirements in order to receive a check today. The first of these requirements is to belong to the group that receives the money today and the second is to choose the appropriate collection method. With this in mind we can now organize much better and more easily the money we receive monthly for our use.
How do I qualify to receive my disability payment today?
The Social Security disability check will arrive today to beneficiaries who meet two requirements:
- Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month. In addition, you must have applied for retirement after 1997.
- Activate Direct Deposit. If we do not have this option, receiving the check on the same day it is sent by the Social Security Administration will be totally impossible. It can take up to 3 days to receive the money if we receive it through a regular bank deposit.
Checks for up to $3,627 per month from Social Security Disability will reach the pockets of Americans who meet these requirements. Otherwise, they will have to wait a few days. Depending on their personal situation, they may have to wait for the next few weeks.
If they do not qualify for the 10th day payment, they will have to wait a few days to collect the benefit.
When will I collect my Social Security benefit if I am not in this group?
The remaining Social Security disability groups will be paid in the following weeks. If we have the benefit already accepted, there is nothing to worry about. Every retiree has a payday and will receive the money every month without having to worry. This is the usual way, as sometimes there may be problems with our benefit.
In the event that everything is in order, the Social Security Administration will send our disability check the following days if we meet the conditions:
- May 17th. To receive payment on this day it is mandatory to have been born between the 11th and 20th of the month. In addition, our retirement must be after 1997.
- May 24th. Retirees with benefits who want to receive payment on this day have their birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. This is the last payment of the month and is also for post-1997 retirees.
After the May 24th payment retirees will have to wait until June to receive a new check. The first of this month’s payments will be on the 1st, as the Social Security Administration will send Supplemental Security Income to users with disabilities who have this benefit.
