The Social Security Administration of the United States always sends retirement checks to qualified citizens on different days of the month. For post-1997 retirees, the payment days are the second, third and fourth Wednesdays.
The next of the payments is the check pertaining to the third Wednesday of the month, the July 19th. This payment is only for retirees born between the 11th and 20th day of the month. It does not matter the month of birth, but only the day. Besides that, it is also mandatory to have the benefit since after 1997.
All other retirees will receive their Social Security benefit on the remaining days of the month. Beneficiaries prior to 1997 are paid on the 3rd day of the month. In the month of July there are no exceptions to this payment, so retirees with these conditions have already received their money.
On the other hand, post-1997 beneficiaries with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month received their payment on the 12th day of July 2023. The last of the payments will arrive on the 26th day of July. This payment will be for Social Security citizens with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
The type of benefit does not matter when checking the date of the payment. The only thing that matters is the two data mentioned above. Thus, both age and disability beneficiaries will be able to collect on the same day if they meet the requirements.
And remember, that’s the day the Administration sends out the Social Security check. But that does not mean that retirees get paid on the same day. In order to collect the retirement on the same day that the Administration sends the check, it is mandatory to activate Direct Deposit as a collection method.
