Those United States citizens with a disability can apply for a monthly Social Security check. While it is true that this is not for 100% of citizens with this condition, most are able to get one of these checks. Best of all, the Social Security Administration not only sends out the SSDI benefit check as such, but may send out other checks as well.
Therefore, a disability retiree can get a nice monthly check upon application, as well as other extra checks to help pay for his or her monthly expenses. Having one of these checks makes the standard of living for these beneficiaries much higher. Still, we must look very carefully at all the requirements that these payments have, as some of them require more than just having a disability.
The usual number of checks a disability retiree can get is 1 per month. But there is another extra check that some of these beneficiaries can get. This would cause them to get 2 different checks, although they are not from the same benefit, but from a different one.
In the case of receiving this second check each of the payments arrives on a different day. It is important to be very clear about this, since receiving the Supplemental Security Income payment is not the same as receiving the SSDI payment. Each of the checks arrives on a different day. So we cannot expect to receive both benefits at the same time.
PAYMENT DAYS FOR BENEFICIARIES WITH A DISABILITY IN NOVEMBER
Throughout the month of November the Social Security Administration will send disability retirees a total of 5 different checks. Each American will get payment on a different day and the maximum number of checks obtained by a single beneficiary during the month of November is 2.
These are the payment days for these benefits in November:
- November 1st. Payments for Americans with Supplemental Security Income. All checks for this benefit go out on this day to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
- November 3rd. Retirees who have a disability or other pre-1997 check may get payment on this day.
- November 8th. Only retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th can get this check. In addition, it is also mandatory to have applied for a check after 1997.
- November 15th. The payment for disability beneficiaries on this day is only for retirees born between the 11th and 20th. It is also necessary to have the benefit since after 1997.
- November 22nd. Post-1997 retirees can get this last check of the month. However, it is also necessary to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
The SSI payment and the Social Security payment may come to the same citizen with a disability, but it will be on different days. So we must look very carefully at what the payment days are so that we do not make a mistake in the economic organization of the month.
