Thousands of United States Social Security beneficiaries, whether disability or age retirement, will be able to get the new November payment, which is also the last one. If you have not gotten this month’s payment by now, you should take a close look at the requirements.
If we are part of the group of Social Security disability retirees, next Wednesday could be our payday. However, this does not have to be the case, since in total the Administration sends during the month the payment on up to 4 different days.
Therefore, we could receive the payment or we could have already received it. In the case of not being part of the last of the payment days we should claim the check as soon as possible, since we should have it already. But it is necessary to know the payment schedule and its requirements well to know the day on which we collect.
The next group to collect a Social Security benefit will be group 4. There are 4 groups in total, so there is no doubt that this is the last of them all. Having a Social Security disability benefit accepted is the first step to being in this group, but there are more requirements.
WHO CAN COLLECT THE LAST DISABILITY PAYMENT FOR NOVEMBER?
Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) checks follow a fixed schedule that allows recipients to collect on four different days each month. The next of the November payments will be the last of the checks that the Administration will send out.
This payment will be only and exclusively for beneficiaries with a post-1997 benefit who have their birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month. It is mandatory to meet both requirements if we want to obtain this check. The exact day of this payment will be November 22nd.
In the case of having a post-1997 check but not having a birthday between those two days, the payment should have arrived on the 8th or 15th of November, depending on the day of the birthday.
On the other hand, if we have a disability benefit from before 1997, the check should have arrived on the 3rd day of this same month. Remember that the type of benefit is not important in determining the day of payment.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM SSDI CHECK?
The maximum payment a Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiary can get is $3,627 in this year 2023. Beginning in January 2024, this payment will increase slightly to $3,743 per month. Still, each check is unique and will increase depending on the amount you have now.
Keep in mind that each and every payment that the Social Security Administration sends out will increase by 3.2%. This means that the current maximum check of $4,555 will go to around $4,700.
Likewise, other Social Security payments such as Supplemental Security Income will also increase. In the case of SSI, the maximum check will go from $914 to approximately $943.
