The payment calendar is a really useful tool for all United States citizens with a Social Security check. Thanks to this calendar, we can know at what time of the month we will receive our benefit. This way, retirement payments could reach your pocket this week if you meet the requirements.
If you are thinking about organizing your vacations, now that we are already in August, you may want to know that Social Security arrives this week. Even so, the check will not reach all retirees, but only a portion of them. To find out if we will actually receive the payment in these days we just need to check the payment schedule.
Also, it is good to keep in mind that nothing happens if we do not receive the payment this week. The Social Security Administration will send out new checks throughout the month. Therefore, if we do not collect Social Security this week, we will receive it on the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month, depending on eligibility.
WHO RECEIVES THE NEW SOCIAL SECURITY THIS WEEK?
Retirees who want to receive their Social Security payment this week must meet one requirement. To this we must add an extra requirement in case we want the money to appear immediately in our pocket.
The main requirement for the Administration to send us our payment these days is to have the pensioner’s pension since before 1997. This requirement is fundamental and totally unavoidable. So you must fulfill it in order to receive the check on August 3rd.
To this we must add the method of collection. If we choose Direct Deposit, the check will arrive on the same day it is sent. Therefore, for those beneficiaries with Direct Deposit activated, the check will have already arrived. Social Security has sent this benefit today, August 3rd.
If we do not have the Direct Deposit option activated, we will receive the money during the week. We could receive it on the 4th, 7th or 8th. It all depends on how fast our bank is. Since there is a weekend in between, the money will take a little longer for some beneficiaries.
Still, regardless of the method of collection, the money will arrive in our pocket. Whether we receive it sooner or later will depend on whether we have Direct Deposit activated or not. But what is certain is that the Social Security Administration is sending checks to pre-1997 beneficiaries today.
If you are on this list, you don’t have to do anything special. The Administration sends the payments automatically, so you don’t have to worry about claiming it.
