The Social Security Administration sends United States citizens different retirement checks every month. And in order to access one of these checks we have to meet several requirements beforehand. It is not possible to collect each of the checks sent by the Administration every month, so we can only have access to one on a monthly basis.
Even so, knowing the timing of these payments will determine whether or not the payment is available to us earlier or later in the month. In total, the Social Security Administration divides the payments into four different days. And marking on our calendar which of these days is our collection day is not only easy, but also really helpful. So pay attention to the payment schedule.
This way, not only will we be able to know at what time of each month we have our Social Security check available, but we will also be able to organize our household finances in the best possible way. There is certainly no disadvantage to knowing at all times when we will have the retirement benefit money available in our checking account.
Which American gets Social Security in just two weeks?
The first of the group to collect their June Social Security payment will have it available in just two weeks. This group is the one that has had a retirement benefit since before May 1997. So as a main requirement we must take this into account.
Besides that, it is important to choose the fastest collection method in order to have the check as soon as possible. If we choose Direct Deposit, the retirement money will appear in our current account without having to wait. As soon as the Administration sends the money, we will have it available to use it for whatever we need.
Remember that the type of retirement benefit does not matter in determining at what time of the month we get the check. So the payments on June 3rd, the day this group will collect, will be for both age and Disability or other beneficiaries.
If we do not have Direct Deposit activated, the Social Security money will not arrive on June 3rd. In that case we will have to wait a few days to have the money available in our checking account. The money will arrive anyway, yes, but we will have to wait a little bit to have the cash available.
