If you have not yet gotten your Social Security benefit for the month of March, you may be able to get it in the next few weeks. The United States Social Security Administration will be sending out new checks before the end of this month. And you may be able to collect one of these checks.
In order to get paid these benefits, you must meet several requirements. To be exact, there are two mandatory requirements. And each of these payment days has different requirements to follow. Therefore, we cannot get all the payments, but only one of them. This is how Social Security sets up the monthly calendar.
It is important to keep in mind that the Administration has already sent out one of these retirement checks. This first check in March 1st was on the 1st of the month. Although the payment for group 1 is usually on the 3rd day, an irregularity in the calendar has caused the payment to be moved up a couple of days.
But if you are not in Group 1, Social Security will send you the payment in one of the next few weeks. Just pay attention to the payment schedule to determine whether you’ll get a check soon or have to wait a little longer.
Social Security Schedule for the next few weeks of March
The United States Government, through the Social Security Administration, is sending out three new checks in the next few weeks. These checks are for all kinds of retirees. And that is because the groups of beneficiaries of these benefits are not divided by their type of retirement.
Many Americans think that if we have a disability or age-based check, we will collect sooner or later. But nothing could be further from the truth. The factors that influence the day of collection are the year of retirement and the beneficiary’s birthday.
Thus, the next payment days for United States Social Security and its requirements are:
- March 13th. Payment for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- March 20th. Payment for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- March 27th. Payment for retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
As for the amount, again, this does not matter in determining whether we have the Social Security money on one day or the other. What does matter is the collection method we choose. If we choose Direct Deposit, the money will appear immediately in our checking account. If not, it will take a few days to be available.
