When a United States citizen begins collecting a Social Security check, he or she knows that he or she can find out in advance at what time of the month he or she will get his or her monthly payment. This information can be golden for many recipients, since not everyone has an alternative source of income.
With this in mind, the thing to do whenever we want to organize our family’s finances is to look at the next day we will get Social Security. Retirement payments follow a schedule and we can know well in advance when we will be collecting each payment.
Likewise, Disability payments or any other retirement payments also arrive on the same day. What we must keep in mind, above all, is that the Social Security payment schedule is divided into four different days. To that we must also add an extra day of Supplemental Security Income.
If we know the requirements for each of these payments, we will be able to know perfectly at what time of the month we will have our money available. The method is easy to understand and thanks to it we can mark on the calendar the day of the Social Security collection.
When do Social Security payments arrive in June 2024?
The payments, which can be $2,500, $1,860 and other similar amounts, will arrive on up to four different days. The maximum payment is $4,873, but it is true that each American gets a totally different payment depending on his or her work history.
In this regard, we find that the Social Security retirement payment will arrive in June on the following days:
- June 3rd. Payments for pre-May 1997 retirees.
- June 12th. Beneficiaries with a benefit after May 1997 with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month collect on this day.
- June 18th. Unlike usual, which would be the third Wednesday of the month June 19th, the Administration will make payments on this day to post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month.
- June 26th. Any American with a post-May 1997 benefit and a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month can collect on this day.
Remember that the payment will arrive earlier or later depending on the collection method activated. If we have Direct Deposit, the Social Security money will appear immediately in our checking account. If we do not have it activated, we will have to wait a few days until the money is fully available in our pocket.
