The United States Government sends thousands of Social Security checks to eligible American retirees each new month. These checks are for all types of retirees. In this regard, Disability retirees and age-based retirees can get payment on the same day depending on which group they belong to.
Best of all, the Social Security Administration announces in advance when these checks will be mailed. Without a doubt, being able to know much earlier the day on which we will get each monthly payment is an advantage to be able to organize our household economy in the best possible way. In addition, just by knowing our personal information we can know which group of retirees we belong to.
The type of retirement does not matter when determining which group of retirees we belong to. So it doesn’t matter if our Social Security check is for disability, age or other reasons. What is important in these cases is the year of retirement and the beneficiary’s date of birth. With just those two pieces of information we can find out on what day in June 2024 we will get our monthly check.
Social Security Schedule for June 2024
In total, there are four payment days within the month of June 2024. Yes it is true that it is usual for us to have five days of payments, including Supplemental Security Income, but this month’s SSI payment will arrive early on the 31st of May.
Even so, there is another irregularity within the month, since the third Wednesday of the month is a holiday. And this means that beneficiaries in Social Security retiree group 3 may get their payment a day earlier than usual.
Here is the complete schedule of Social Security payments in the month of June 2024:
- June 3rd. Payments for pre-May 1997 retirees.
- June 12th. Payments for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- June 18th. Payments for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- June 26th. Payments for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
The June 18th payment should be on June 19th, but since that day is a holiday, the Social Security Administration sends out a check earlier. So if we belong to this group we will be able to enjoy our benefit earlier if we have Direct Deposit activated.
