United States Disability retirees who have an accepted Social Security benefit may already know the day they will receive their benefit within the month of July. If we add to this having Direct Deposit activated, the organization of the money at home can be total. Otherwise, we will still receive the money, but always a little later.
Within the organization of the payments from the Social Security Administration there are 4 different days. On one of these four days, disability retirees can receive their benefit. To determine on which day we receive our check we only need to know the year of retirement and the day of birth.
These four days are actually divided into two large groups. The first of these groups receives their benefit on the first day the disability check is mailed. The second group is, in turn, divided into three different groups. Therefore, there are a total of 4 different days to receive a disability check.
In any case, remember that each retiree, regardless of the reason for retirement, can only get one check per month. Thus, only in very exceptional cases can a disability retiree receive two of these benefits per month. It is different in the case of Supplemental Security Income. In that case, the retiree can receive two benefits.
Complete Social Security Disability Schedule for July
The days on which the Social Security Administration sends out the new July checks are divided into 4 different days. The two groups depend on the year of retirement. On one side we have the pre-1997 retirees and on the other side we have the post-1997 retirees.
As for the reason for retirement, this is not really important. What is important in determining the day on which we collect the benefit is the year of retirement and the day of birth. So whether it is disability or age retirement, we will receive Social Security equally.
Pre-1997 Retirees
Beneficiaries with a disability benefit prior to this year receive their check on the upcoming July 3rd. This day is for all retirees who meet this requirement.
It does not matter what the reason for retirement is. The only important thing in these cases is in which year we retired. With this in mind, we already know on which day we will be able to collect in July.
Disability retirees after 1997
This group is divided into three different groups. If your disability retirement is after 1997 you will also have to look at your birthday to determine on which day you will receive your benefit.
Retirees in this group will collect on the following days:
- July 12th.
- July 19th.
- July 16th.
On the first of these days, retirees with a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month will receive their benefit. So, the next collection day is for beneficiaries with a disability with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month. Finally, beneficiaries with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month are paid on the last of these three days.
