Within the Social Security check payments there are many different payments for United States citizens. The most common payments within the Social Security Administration are the Supplemental Security Income and the retirement or disability pension payment.
It is possible to receive both of these benefits every month, as long as you meet all the requirements. However, not all citizens can receive a check for Supplemental Security Income, as there is also an age restriction.
But the most important requirement is related to monthly income. Having a very high monthly income will automatically cancel you from receiving Supplemental Security Income. So if you want to receive this cheque, check all the requirements first.
Requirements for Supplemental Security Income
The main requirements for Supplemental Security Income are financial, as mentioned above, but they are also related to other aspects.
On the one hand, eligible adults must meet the following requirements:
- Be over age 65 or have a disability or a state of blindness.
- Have a limited income.
- Have limited resources.
- Be a citizen of the United States or a naturalized citizen of the United States.
- Residing in one of the 50 States, plus the District of Columbia or Northern Mariana Islands.
On the other hand, children may also be eligible for Supplemental Security Income if they meet the following requirements:
- Be under age 18 with a physical or mental condition that limits their daily activity for 12 months or more.
- Live in a household with limited income or resources.

When does Social Security send SSI payments?
The Social Security Administration always pays SSI checks on the 1st of each month. Therefore, we are looking at a monthly check payment. Supplemental Security Income always arrives on that day, with some exceptions.
When the 1st of the month is a holiday or weekend, the Administration sends the check on the immediately preceding business day. For example, if a month begins on a Saturday, Social Security pays Supplemental Security Income on the preceding Friday. For that reason, there are months when SSA pays two SSI checks in the same month.
In the year 2023 there are several months in which we have this irregular situation. In January it happened, as well as in April, July and October. In these months, Social Security will not send out the check for Supplemental Security Income, but will do so on the immediately preceding business day.

Other SSA Payments in March
