Only a group of retirees aged 65 will receive the new check within hours

Why will SSDI users not receive SSI in April?

Top reasons why Social Security checks do not arrive on time

Social Security Supplemental Security Income payments always arrive on the 1st of the month to United States citizens. In fact, the Social Security Administration sends out checks on that day. Receipt will depend on several factors. The first of these factors is the collection method that the beneficiary has activated.

Therefore, in order to receive these checks immediately, we must activate an accurate collection method. The payment schedule does not change at any time, as Social Security does this to avoid delays in sending the money. However, the receipt of the money may vary depending on the method of payment and the individual pensioner.

Each of the payments sent by the Social Security Administration reaches the beneficiaries’ pockets on a different day. This time we are talking about the Supplemental Security Income. This check does not change days, with minor exceptions, so beneficiaries can be sure that they will know the exact day each month.

Who receives Supplemental Security Income immediately?

Only Supplemental Security Income recipients who have Direct Deposit activated will automatically receive their benefit money. It is important to note that if we do not have this payment method activated, we will not be able to cash a check for the amount we have established immediately.

If we do not activate Direct Deposit we will have to wait up to 3 days to receive the money in our pocket. This method is the fastest of all when it comes to receiving Social Security benefits. However, cashing the cheque by bank deposit is also efficient and safe, but it will always be a little slower.

Will Social Security send more payments in March 2023?

During the month of March, the Social Security Administration will send new payments to all Social Security beneficiaries. Each of these checks will be for a different group of retirees. Thus, the days on which the Administration will pay new checks are:

  • March 1st.
  • March 8th.
  • March 15th.
  • March 22nd.
  • March 31st.

On the first and last day of March, the Social Security Administration will pay Supplemental Security Income to retirees who have this benefit accepted. It does not matter what the birthday or reason is, as the SSA pays all checks for this benefit at the same time. The payment on the 31st of March is actually SSI for the month of April.

On all other days, we should note that the SSA pays benefits differently depending on each retiree’s birthday. On March 8th, those with birthdays between the 1st and 10th will collect their benefit. On March 15th it is the turn of those born between the 11th and 20th birthdays. Finally, March 22nd is for retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
