If you are waiting to get the new SSDI check from Social Security in the United States, you should know that the payment will arrive on August 21st only for a specific group of beneficiaries. If you are eligible, the payment will appear in your checking account. If you are not eligible, the payment may arrive, but on a different day.
In total, the Social Security Administration sends four different checks to four different groups of retirees. SSDI payment days are the same as for all other retirees. What determines whether we get a check earlier or later in the month is the year of retirement and the birthday. Who gets SSDI on August 21st, 2024?

The information that determines what time of the month we get each SSDI check is the year of retirement and the day of birth, as we specified above. For that reason, changing the day of payment is not possible, since this information is impossible to change.
Therefore, if we belong to retiree group 3 we will always have SSDI check on an approximate date. The payment for each group is assigned to a specific time of the month and only in very exceptional cases does the Social Security Administration change this payment date.
Remember that if you do not have Direct Deposit activated, the payment will not arrive on the same day it is sent; we will have to wait a few more days to have the benefit money available.
