SSDI retirees in the United States who have a previously accepted benefit could cash a check for up to $3,627 today. Whether or not they collect this payment depends on several factors. The first is meeting the eligibility criteria. If we meet the eligibility criteria, we will have direct access to the check so we can use it for whatever we need.
On the other hand, there are also several factors to take into account. For example, we have to check that our information is correct in all respects, as well as that we have chosen the right collection method. If we don’t take into account all the elements surrounding the SSDI benefit, it may not reach our pocket today.
And we can’t say that one of these elements is more important than the other. Everything surrounding Social Security benefits determines whether or not we will get a check on time. Only one SSDI group will be able to collect the benefit today, October 18th, and the Administration is very punctual with these things. So check well to make sure you are in your chosen group so you can determine if you will get your payment of up to $3,627 today.
Still, it’s not just disability retirees who can collect this check. It is important to keep this in mind at all times. Within the eligibility criteria the type of benefit does not matter. Therefore, getting the October 18th Social Security check does not depend on this, but on other elements. Among those elements are the year of retirement and the date of your birthday. Will you get your SSDI payment today?
WHO GETS THEIR OCTOBER 2023 SSDI PAYMENT TODAY?
In order to determine who does get their October SSDI payment and who does not, it is necessary to check the requirements. If we meet only two requirements, we will be in the group of retirees, which will make us eligible for the check. The Social Security Administration will send us this payment, although whether or not we get it on the same day will depend on a different element.
There are two requirements to get the payment and they are independent but both are mandatory:
- Have a Social Security check from after 1997.
- You must have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any month.
And in order to cash the check on the same day of October 18th, it is mandatory to have activated Direct Deposit as a payment method. It is also important to have all of our information updated with both the Social Security Administration and the bank. This is the best way to avoid having your SSDI check arrive late every month.
OTHER SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS BEFORE NOVEMBER 2023
In addition to today’s October 18th payment, the Social Security Administration will send out one more SSDI payment this month. Before November begins, retirees who meet two other requirements will be able to get their check next week.
To be more precise, the day the Administration will send the money will be on October 25th. On this day, retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month will be able to access the benefit. It is also mandatory to have SSDI since after 1997, as well as for the payment on October 18th.
After that day we will have to wait until November 1st for the Social Security Administration to pay a separate check. On that particular day the payment will be the Supplemental Security Income payment for that month. After that, the 3rd of November will be a retiree payment day, as well as the 8th, 15th and 22nd to end the month.
