Today and today only is the last of the days that the Social Security Administration will send a check in 2023. While it is true that United States citizens will get this payment early, since it is a 2024 payment, the mailing is today.
Therefore, we can say that it is a post-Christmas Social Security check although prior to New Year’s Eve. Between these two days we can get this new check that may have a higher amount than the previous checks of this benefit.
Of course, not all American beneficiaries of this benefit can get the payment, but some of them will have today’s check available a little later. Everything will depend directly on the requirements we meet and the collection method we have chosen.
In short, we must be attentive to the requirements to determine if a new check is arriving in our bank account right now. If it is not, there is no need to worry, as it could arrive in the next few days. Although it is also possible that we may not have this Social Security check accepted.
WHO GETS THE SOCIAL SECURITY BONUS AFTER CHRISTMAS?
While it is true that it is possible that the Administration will send us the check today, it is also possible that we will not get it today. It all depends on the method of payment we have chosen. Likewise, just because we have a Social Security retirement check does not mean that we will also receive this payment.

- Activate Direct Deposit.
The second of these requirements is only for those who want to get the money in their checking account today. It is not a mandatory requirement, but it is recommended in order to receive the money.
Remember that in order to get the Supplemental Security Income payment from Social Security we must meet the conditions:
- Be 65 years of age or older or have a disability.
- Have low monthly income and low resources.
Only then will the Administration grant us this check that can be up to $943 starting in January of next year. Even so, today’s payment belongs to the January calendar, so it can reach those 943 dollars as maximum for the beneficiaries who deserve it.
