The new payment from the United States Social Security Administration will reach retirees in the next week. This is unusual, as we are in the second week and it is normal for it to be this Wednesday when beneficiaries receive their benefit. This situation is the fault of a small irregularity in the calendar that causes the payment to be delayed by a full week.
This is why it is so important to know the Social Security payment schedule. If we do not know on what day we could receive the money we are going to have financial problems with the household economy. So find out on what day you will receive your new benefit because retirees are receiving them later than usual.
However, there is nothing to worry about. Although the money arrives later than usual, it will arrive in September, as usual. So all retirees who have a previously accepted benefit will receive their new check in the next few days or later. It all depends on which group you belong to. Do you already know on which day you will receive your Social Security benefit?
WHEN WILL SOCIAL SECURITY SEND THE NEW BENEFIT?
The next check from Social Security will be a week from today. This means that we will have to wait until September 13th to receive our retirement money. However, not all retirees will be paid on the same day. In fact, some of the retirees have already collected their benefit, so a group can already use the money for whatever they need.
If you have not yet cashed the check, it is because your pensioner’s pension is after 1997. In that case, the payment will be on the 13th, 20th or 27th day of September. On each of these days a different group of retirees will be paid depending on their birthday. After the 27th day of September there are no new pensioner payments in this month, so we will have to wait until October for new payments.
WHY ARE THERE DELAYS IN SEPTEMBER PENSIONS?
The reason for the delays in September pensions is due to the beginning of the month. September started on a Friday, which means that the second Wednesday of the month, the first day of payment for post-1997 retirees, does not arrive until the third week.
For that simple reason there is a delay in retirement payments. However, if we look closely there is no delay as such, since the check will arrive on the second Wednesday of the month, which is the 13th day. But it is not the same to receive the pensioner’s Social Security pension in the second week as it is to receive it in the third week.
Regardless, retirees will still be able to cash their check as they do every month. And remember to activate Direct Deposit if you don’t want the payment to arrive even later.
