New Social Security payments will be coming soon to thousands of United States citizens. Each new month that begins means that the new schedule of payments is available and in the next few days we will see the payments of this new benefit to a specific group of Americans.

The requirements to get this Social Security check are twofold:
- Have a Social Security benefit since after May 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of any month.
By meeting both of these requirements, we will be able to have this benefit payment with checks of up to $4,873 if we have an Age Retirement Benefit. If we have a Disability check, the payment can be up to $3,822.
Can I change my Social Security collection day?
The timing of Social Security payments depends on the personal information listed above. In other words, to determine the time of the month when we will collect a check, we must take into account the year of retirement and the day of birth.
Since we cannot change this information, the day Social Security sends us the check can never be different. So each month you will get your payment on approximately the same days. So the best way to avoid problems is to be familiar with the retirement payment schedule.
