The start of a new month means that the Social Security Administration will send new payments to United States citizens. These payments do not necessarily have to be retirement or disability benefits. We are also talking about other payments such as Supplemental Security Income. Although the SSI payment is not for all Social Security beneficiaries, a large portion of them can receive it. The problem is that not all beneficiaries have applied for this financial help. The main condition is to have an accepted retirement or disability benefit, in addition to a low income.
In a great majority of beneficiaries this benefit is accepted. But not all people know that they can have this financial boost. For this reason, it is a good idea to make use of the BEST tool, which helps us to determine if we can apply for a Social Security benefit. That is why we can discover a great series of advantages through this tool. It should not be forgotten that there are not only disability or age benefits but also other types of benefits.
In this sense, all the beneficiaries who receive the Supplemental Security Income benefit will have their money available on November 1st. Since there is no weekend or holiday on this date, the payment will be made on November 1. Recipients will receive payment the same day if they have Direct Deposit. Otherwise, the Social Security Administration will send the money that day, but you may receive it up to 3 days later. Even so, since the 1st is Tuesday, you will have the amount in your pocket before the weekend. The average SSI payment is $604 per individual benefit, but each payment is completely personal and independent.
Social Security Payments in November
In addition to the Supplemental Security Income payment, the Social Security Administration will send out several other payments in November. These payments are for Age Retirement and Disability Retirement. Below we can see the exact days on which the SSA will make payment for these benefits:
- November 1. Supplemental Security Income payment.
- November 9. First payment of the Social Security retirement and disability benefit. This payment is for those born between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- November 16. Second SSA retirement payment. People born between the 11th and 20th of the month could receive the money on this day.
- November 23. Third retirement payment and people with disabilities. All those born between the 21st and 31st will receive their Social Security payment on this day.
Activating Direct Deposit, as we have commented before, you will have the payment automatically. Otherwise, you would have to wait up to 3 days to receive this benefit.
